John Barnett has been a keen and enthusiastic student of swords, arms and armour and has been in the business for 25 years. He is specialized in reproducing historical arms and armour and after a period of experimental weapon-smithing turned to designing.

All swords in the John Barnett collection have EN45 sprung steel blades and guard and pommel pieces are always in steel unless brass or bronze are specified, hand grips are of oak wood over very broad strong tangs and whether a sharp museum quality piece is purchased or a blunted re-enactment sword is required, the swords and daggers are strong and have their own distinct look and feel.
